Derby shoes & brogues
Derby shoes have open lacing, which makes them roomier over the instep and a little more casual than oxfords. Many of ours are wingtip brogues, and some sit on a chunky lug sole.
Derby or oxford?
Derbies have open lacing and fit higher insteps; oxfords have closed lacing and look more formal.
What is a lug sole?
A thick rubber sole with deep tread — more grip and a sturdier look.
